6 Ways to get MOTIVATED…even if you don’t feel like it…

I must admit that having the flu roaming around our house for three weeks almost broke me! On top of that my husband was away for work for two weeks of it. If you have never heard a two year old snoring alternately waking and sneezing then crying, you just haven’t lived. Add into that a wailing 5 year old refusing to take medicine along with a grumpy 8 year old. Or maybe you just haven’t lived in my sleep deprived world taken one step further with me getting sick myself.  It becomes clear why motivation has been at an all-time low.

Now, getting back to writing has felt like swimming through an icky gooey pool full of tar. Ok, so maybe a bit of an exaggeration, but still true in my mind.  I must not be alone in this. I know there are a million people who are recovering from the winter hibernation, as I like to think of it. Those same people are trying to forge ahead on personal goals like healthy eating or exercising. Those same people are trying to start businesses and take new adventures. Whatever it is you are looking to do, you must get started!! The time is now.

Here is a short list of ways to get motivated even if you don’t feel like it.

  • Put on music that pumps you up and gets your body wanting to move.
  • Just commit to doing one tiny action.
  • Read a motivational book for at least 5 minutes.
  • Do something creative.
  • Try some essential oils like Peppermint to boost energy, Rosemary to fight mental fatigue, and Jasmine for a dose of confidence.
  • Exercise for 20 minutes.

 

Go out there and slay the day!!!
